What is the issue ?
Addressing climate change is a key global policy priority area, and many national governments have committed to ambitious policy targets for moving towards a more green and sustainable economy. In supporting young entrepreneurs, governments can help to unlock the potential of young people as they work to solve some of the most pressing social and environmental challenges in the world today. Young people have been driving the green transition by introducing various innovative practices, building more sustainable businesses and creating income, jobs and economic growth through their entrepreneurial activities. This workshop will explore how youth entrepreneurship policies can better support the road to sustainability and tap into young people’s potential in a green and sustainable entrepreneurship.
About
This workshop is the second workshop in a series of six thematic workshops that will occur over the next three years as part of the YEPA initiative. The 3-hour online workshop will explore how inclusive entrepreneurship policies can support the road to sustainability and tap into the potential of young entrepreneurs to drive the green transition. The workshop will feature a panel discussion with young green entrepreneurs who will speak to their own experience in starting their entrepreneurship activities. It will also include case study presentations by YEPA participants and presentations by experts on green entrepreneurship by young entrepreneurs. There will also be time to raise questions, debate key issues and share your knowledge and expertise, notably during an interactive breakout session. The workshops vary slightly across the different country groups as co-hosts have identified different priority areas and case studies for the workshops.
